Bridget's first cut (18.05.07 7:32 pm)

Bridget just achieved her first "real" cut. She was reaching under the edge of the couch to grab a toy, and cried out a little. She didn't make a big deal out of it, so neither did I. Then, after a bit, Shell's mother noticed what looked like a bit of blood on Shell's face. And then I noticed a trail of blood across the while tiles. Bridget had found something unpleasant under the couch and given herself a lovely jabbing slice on the inside of her thumb. Fortunately it was on the fleshy bit. Eventually (after some band-aid application and removal, and much screaming) it stopped bleeding. She's fine again now. I think it was a little shard of glass (about 5mm or so long) that I found in the carpet under there. She'll probably have a cool scar for years.
